The production of injection molds for sweeping robots needs to take into account complex structural molding, high precision requirements and production efficiency
1. Core design points:
1) The outer shell of sweeping robots often contains multi-directional undercut structures (such as roller brush cover buckles and sensor holes), and a combination of front mold sliders (T-slots or hydraulic drives) and rear mold inclined tops is required. For example, the roller brush cover bracket needs to be embedded with a metal rod to enhance strength, and the mold needs to be designed with split inserts and a press table structure to ensure accurate positioning of metal parts and plastic coating

2. Precision core and cooling system
1) Slender cores (such as fan blade mounting holes) need to be made of high-wear-resistant steel (NAK80 or S136), and built-in copper cooling rods to improve heat dissipation efficiency and prevent deformation.
2) The four corners of the mold core are designed with 5° jaw positioning, and the mold clamping accuracy is ≤0.01mm with the guide pin and guide sleeve. Some high-precision molds are equipped with double positioning blocks (tapered first positioning block and second positioning block) to improve stability
3. Hot runner and ejection optimization
1) Hot runner system is recommended for multi-cavity molds to reduce waste and ensure melt uniformity, which is suitable for small batch multi-component synchronous production such as rear wheel guards.
2) The ejection mechanism uses Z-shaped ejector and manipulator to cooperate with demolding. Transparent parts need to avoid scratches. Some cases integrate CCD visual system to achieve automatic sorting
4. Technical difficulties and solutions
1) Complex structure one-piece molding
Problem: The shell sound guide hole or the empty tube inside the U-shaped pendant is prone to functional defects due to welding marks.
Solution: Use banana-shaped gate design + in-mold hot cutting technology to optimize the melt flow path, and monitor dimensional consistency through SPC process control
2) Insert injection molding stability
Problem: The metal rod is prone to offset or uneven rubber coating when embedded in the roller brush cover bracket.
Solution: Pre-embed positioning pins in the mold, split insert design to reserve mold repair margin, combined with liquid silicone (LSR) secondary injection molding to improve adhesion
3) Automated production adaptation
Problem: The efficiency of manual inspection of small transparent parts (such as sensor covers) is low.
Solution: Integrate CCD visual system and robotic arm to achieve automatic sorting and defect identification. Some manufacturers use 100,000-level dust-free workshops to ensure light transmittance
5 Material and process selection
1) Mold steel
Preferably choose 718H, S136 (corrosion resistance), NAK80 (high polishability), key inserts require vacuum quenching treatment to extend life
2) Injection molding parameters
Use 90-700T injection molding machine, mold temperature controller accurately controls temperature (±1℃), transparent parts require oil circulation system to reduce shrinkage deformation
3) Surface treatment
The shell often needs frosted surface or leather grain treatment, and the mold cavity uses etching process to improve anti-slip and aesthetics

A: Mold Payment: 40% deposit by T/T in advance, 30% second mold payment before sending out the first trial samples, 30% mold balance after you agree the final samples.
B:Production Payment: 50% deposit in advance, 50% before sending out the final goods.
